ASHP installation for new build block of flats in Sutton
An air source heat pump (ASHP) installation was carried out for a new-build block comprising nine residential flats. Vaillant aroTHERM monoblock air source heat pump units were installed on the roof of the building to provide an efficient, low-carbon heating solution for all dwellings.
The development consists of a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments. Each flat is served by an underfloor heating system, ensuring even heat distribution and improved energy efficiency. Domestic hot water is supplied via individual hot water cylinders, each supported by a buffer tank to enhance system performance, improve heat pump cycling, and maintain stable flow temperatures.
The system was designed and installed to meet current building regulations and energy efficiency standards, providing reliable space heating and hot water while reducing overall carbon emissions and running costs for occupants.
